Claims that just
go out the door.
Lumenality sends your claims, pulls back your payments and checks eligibility through a modern clearinghouse called Stedi. It is built right into the platform, so you never juggle a separate clearinghouse account.
What is a clearinghouse, in plain terms?
A clearinghouse is the post office between your practice and the insurance payers. When you bill a visit, your claim has to reach the right payer in a very specific electronic format, and the payer's response (paid, denied, or needs more information) has to come back to you. The clearinghouse routes all of that, checks each claim for obvious errors first, and translates between the hundreds of payers who each do things a little differently.
Traditionally, practices sign a separate contract with a clearinghouse, log into yet another portal, and reconcile payments by hand. With Lumenality, that whole layer is already part of the platform.
Our clearinghouse partner
Who is Stedi?
Stedi is a modern, API-first clearinghouse, built for software like Lumenality to connect to directly rather than the older file-drop systems most practices know. That means claims move in real time and statuses come back fast. Just as importantly for healthcare, Stedi operates with a SOC 2 Type II posture, signs a HIPAA Business Associate Agreement, and processes data in US regions. It is the dependable, compliant rail underneath your billing.
What it means for your practice
You do not have to think about any of the plumbing. You just get a faster, cleaner revenue cycle.
Claims out in seconds, validated first
Claims are scrubbed and validated the moment you submit, so payer rejections are caught before they leave your practice instead of weeks later.
Remittances post themselves
Electronic remittance advice (the 835) flows back in and posts against the right claims. No manual keying of payments from a payer portal.
Eligibility before the visit
Check coverage and benefits up front so the front desk knows what is covered before a client is seen. Fewer surprises, fewer write-offs.
One integrated pipeline
Submission, claim status, remittance and enrollment all live inside Lumenality. No portal-hopping across separate clearinghouse logins and spreadsheets.
File fallback, always
If a payer or the network ever needs it, claims can still be produced as standard 837 files or a CMS-1500 and payments imported. You are never stuck.
Built for healthcare data
Stedi is a modern, API-first clearinghouse: SOC 2 Type II, a signed HIPAA Business Associate Agreement, and US-region processing.
How it works inside Lumenality
It is built in. There is no separate clearinghouse contract for you to negotiate or maintain; the connection ships as part of Lumenality. During onboarding we handle the payer enrollments for you (the paperwork that tells each payer to send your electronic claims and remittances through this pipeline), so by the time you go live, billing simply works.
Clearinghouse usage is billed at your agreed-to contract rates. See the pricing page for how that fits alongside your flat monthly rate.
